Can I use my NDIS funding with TrueFit?
I am a qualified personal trainer and I work with NDIS participants. TrueFit is not a registered NDIS provider, so you can train with me if both of these apply:
- Your NDIS funding is self-managed, or managed by a plan manager
- You have budgeted for personal training in your NDIS plan
Not sure? Your plan manager or support coordinator can tell you, or get in touchand we can talk it through.

How to get started
- Check your funding type. Your plan needs to be self-managed or plan-managed.
- Check your budget. Make sure personal training fits within your plan, usually under Capacity Building.
- Talk to your plan manager if you need to, about how training supports your goals.
- Book a free consultation. We will talk about your needs and plan your first sessions.

What clients say
Google5.0Based on 66 reviews(opens Google reviews in a new tab)My wife and I are in our 50s and 60 and are at different fitness levels. Richard manages our fitness programs perfectly, tailored to our fitness goals. Richard is a great motivator and we always leave tired but happy.
My first experience with a personal trainer and Richard made it amazing! He’s super calm, but knows how to push you farther each session. Me and my partner have done about 5 sessions with him and are always shocked by the progress each week. He also helped us with nutrition which was amazing.
Richard is very personable, positive and fit! He crafted a program esp for my husband and I in order that we be fit to do some skiing after a 7 yr period of inactivity. We worked with Richard together, an hour at a time, and always arrived feeling keen and left feeling depleted but satisfied. And the skiing was great- and we suffered no injuries ( having worked on balance and thighs and arms). We are an old couple in our 70s ( Richard is in his 30s 😱)

Do I need a registered NDIS provider?
Not if your plan is self-managed or plan-managed. TrueFit is not a registered NDIS provider, so agency-managed (NDIA-managed) plans are not eligible.
Is the gym wheelchair accessible?
Yes. The gym is wheelchair accessible. If you have other access needs, let me know before your first session and we will plan around them.
Which part of my plan pays for personal training?
Personal training is usually funded from your Capacity Building budget, for example Improved Health and Wellbeing. Every plan is different, so check with your plan manager or support coordinator that it fits your goals and budget.
What happens in the first session?
We talk about your goals, your health and what support you need, then try some simple movements at a pace that suits you. From there I write a program around you and we build it up step by step.
Do I need clearance from my doctor?
If you have a health condition or injury, or have not exercised in a long time, check in with your GP before you start. I am happy to work with any advice from your GP, physio or other health professionals.
